FIND SERVICES

FAMILY SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT (FsACE)

FsACE continues to provide it’s ongoing services empowering families to become self-sufficient through family support, health and nutrition, professional development programs and more. Current customers will continue to receive case management services. Please call your LOCAL OFFICE for details.

FsACE has expanded its services in order to provide relief to Suburban Cook County communities during this health crisis. Customers interested in enrolling who have experienced a COVID-19 related event (i.e. loss of job, reduction in hours, increased household expense as a result of ‘stay in place order’, illness or death of family member as a result of COVID-19) should contact the INFORMATION REFERRAL LINE at (312) 795-8948 to begin the application process.

WOMEN, INFANTS & CHILDREN (WIC)

Services have been modified to reduce participant flow, improve safety, and achieve social distancing.  Please call or email the clinic.  You can find a list of our offices HERE.  Please be sure to check our website for up to date information.

ENERGY SERVICES

With the safety and health of our clients, staff and partners in mind, we have launched a remote intake process. Find a site near you using our Site Locator HERE and contact one of or Partner Intake Sites to schedule an appointment today!

Currently enrolled PIPP Participants will continue to receive their monthly benefit.  If you applied for the one time Direct Vendor Payment (DVP), you can check the status of your application HERE.

Our utility partners are taking action to help customers at this time by imposing a moratorium on service disconnections and waiving new late payment charges. If you have further questions about your bill or if the household is disconnected, please contact your utility company directly.

HOME WEATHERIZATION

Applications and in-home services are suspended at this time. To receive announcements when NEW applications will be accepted or when in-home services will resume, please text “CEDA” to 313131 or email wxcustomerservice@cedaorg.net. Be sure to check our website for up to date information.

HOUSING SERVICES

CEDA’s staff of qualified Housing Counselors are available able to assist with foreclosure prevention, pre-purchase, post-purchase, and financial counseling.  We can also help identify if qualify for new COVID-19 relief programs. Together, we can work with any lenders to seek solutions. CSBG Scholarship

Scholarships are available for post-secondary education at an accredited institution of higher education in the state of Illinois for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Candidates must submit a complete scholarship application with all required documents and provide proof of residency and income eligibility by June 12th, 2020 at 5:00pm.

UTILITY BILLING RELIEF

Due to the impact of COVID-19, the City of Chicago Department of Finance has taken several steps to help customers.

Effective immediately and until May 31, 2020, they will not expect payments until June 1, 2020 and there will not be any adverse consequences, regardless of the due date printed on your bill. The moratorium on water service shut offs is also still in effect. You may email customer service at utilitybill@cityofchicago.org.
