Description:
CEDA is the second largest not-for-profit/social services Agency in the Chicagoland area. We provide over 65 programs and services to area residents that must be successfully managed. We are looking for a qualified individual who can maintain responsibility for preparing Agency’s annual budgets; assist with the consolidation of fiscal and program year budgets for analysis; and assist with analyzing monthly Accounting records to identify trends and mitigate any potential surplus or shortage of funds.
Duties:
Duties include, but are not limited to: consolidating various Agency program budgets, as well as Central Office departmental budgets, to create an Agency-wide fiscal year budget; assisting in the preparation of fiscal/ program year budget reports with supporting schedules for program directors and executive management; utilizing accounting records and coordinating with Accounting Department to maintain accurate financial information; preparing budget analyses and reporting documents on a monthly basis; reconciling budget commitments and obligations against approved budgets; ensuring cash-flow projections are adhered to and maintained; maintaining financial forecasting for various programs; and providing ongoing support for various programs/departments in the form of financial analyses and planning throughout the fiscal and program year.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, Accounting. Minimum five years’ experience working in a fast-paced not-for-profit environment preferred. Minimum three years of budget/financial analysis experience. Strong computer/Internet research skills required; proficiency with Financial Edge, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Excellent written/verbal communication with strong decision-making ability is required.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality is essential. Must also be detail-oriented and highly organized to balance a demanding workload; able to interact with staff in a fast-paced environment; and work as part of a team and build team consensus when needed. Must be able to work under pressure and remain flexible, proactive, resourceful, efficient and professional. Must also possess a positive attitude.
