Description:
CEDA is the second largest not-for-profit/social services Agency in the Chicagoland area.  We provide over 65 programs and services to area residents that must be successfully managed.  We are looking for a qualified individual who can maintain responsibility for leading the overall planning and execution of all IT activities within the agency to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of all technology and infrastructure platforms; ensure technical/infrastructure platforms are designed to enable long-term, rapid growth through development of a strategic IT road map that is coupled with disciplined governance and technical/process documentation.  Responsible for managing business intelligence and infrastructure projects.

Duties (include, but are not limited to):

  1. Lead the architecture, implementation and maintenance of a BI Solution;
  2. Partner with other CEDA business units and corporate departments to maintain governance for shared IT platforms;
  3. Develop, manage and track all annual and project budgets; maintain accountability for budget adherence;
  4. Effectively manage and develop a team of geographically dispersed IT personnel;
  5. Ensure adherence to and compliance with corporate standards and policies;
  6. Contribute to the development of additional or enhanced controls for improved efficiency;
  7. Procure (in conjunction with CEDA’s Procurement department), install and maintain all computer hardware and software and all ancillary products and supplies necessary to keep computer systems operable and support requests fulfilled;
  8. Create and maintain CEDA’s disaster recovery plan;
  9. Maintain an appropriate level of technical capability as well as stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance;
  10. Manage third party vendors.

Qualifications: 
Information Systems.  Minimum eight years’ experience implementing effective and innovative information technology solutions that are strategically aligned with business needs.  JDE and BI expertise strongly preferred. 

Proven ability to build, develop, motivate and retain a progressive and high-performing IT team.  Sufficient technical knowledge to effectively assess and evaluate technical solutions.  Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences necessary.  Ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects and priorities. 

Ideal candidate should have an aptitude and passion for learning new technologies and have a broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts and methodologies.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.

Travel:   Must be able to travel both within and out of Cook County; automobile required.
