Housing Services

What is it?

Comprehensive housing counseling services providing information, education and advice to homebuyers, homeowners, renters, and the homeless.  Homeless counseling services may include working collaboratively with other partners to rapidly transition homeless male veterans and homeless individuals into the joint transitional/rapid re-housing program.

How does it help?

Clients receive individual help to find creative ways to remain in or obtain affordable housing, understand fair housing rights, avoid displacement, learn more about budgeting and credit, and resolve conflicts between homeowners and lenders, as well as, renters and landlords.

How does it work?

If you have a problem paying your mortgage loan or rent or homeless, then you can get help. A HUD-approved housing counselor is specially trained and certified by the government to provide tools to current and prospective homeowners, renters, and the homeless so that they can make responsible choices to address their housing needs in light of their financial situation.

What do I need to do?

CEDA’s staff of HUD-certified Housing Counselors are available to assist with foreclosure prevention, pre-purchase, post-purchase, rental counseling, and financial counseling. We can also help identify those that qualify for new COVID-19 rent/mortgage relief programs. Together, we can work with any lender to seek solutions.
