Family Support & Community Engagement (FsACE)
We offer programs to help you achieve stability, independence, and long-term success. Some include Case Management with personalized support for up to 45 days, while others provide short-term assistance for a variety of needs.
Family and Community Support
The Dental Care Assistance Program will provide financial support for essential dental care to CSBG-eligible individuals in Suburban Cook County. This program aims to alleviate the financial burden of dental services, offering preventive, basic, and major restorative care helping individuals to improve dental-related barriers to health, education, and employment.
The Vision Care Assistance Program aims to provide essential vision services to CSBG-eligible individuals in Suburban Cook County, offering financial support for eye exams, prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, and necessary medical supplies. This program addresses the urgent need for accessible and affordable vision care helping individuals overcome vision-related barriers to health, education, and employment.
The Transportation Assistance Program is designed to provide financial assistance for essential auto repairs, gas and public transit cards to CSBG-eligible individuals in Suburban Cook County. This program assists customers in overcoming transportation barriers that hinder their employment, education/training, and healthcare maintenance.
The Family Nutrition Program aims to address the critical food and nutrition needs of CSBG-eligible individuals and families in Suburban Cook County, by partnering with the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) to distribute fresh produce and nutritious food options. This program is designed to improve the nutritional well-being, health, and self-sufficiency of residents living in areas that don’t have access to quality food options.
The Disaster Relief Program is designed to provide effective disaster relief to CSBG-eligible individuals and families in Suburban Cook County. This program aims to support residents affected particularly in the wake of natural or man-made disasters such as fires, floods, tornadoes, and other catastrophic events, which occurred in Suburban Cook County; by offering financial assistance and essential services to address their needs and support their long-term stability.
The Family Support Case Management Program will provide short-term case management and coaching services to CSBG-eligible individuals and families in Suburban Cook County. When applicable financial assistance is available to help with removing barriers that hinder residents’ employment, education/training, and healthcare maintenance. We aim to focus on empowering individuals and families to take an active role in stabilizing their lives. Our primary objective is to assist these individuals in overcoming immediate barriers and progressing toward long-term sustainability.
The Trade Skills Program aims to empower CSBG-eligible adults in suburban Cook County by providing them with the necessary tools, training, and resources to secure stable employment or pursue self-employment. The program directly addresses the need for affordable and relevant skills training; helping customers gain the credentials and experience required to compete in today’s job market.
The Information and Referral Helpline is designed to connect CSBG-eligible callers with the resources they need to address relevant barriers and achieve long-term stability. The helpline offers personalized consultations to assess each individual’s needs and provides targeted referrals to local services, addressing the gaps in awareness and accessibility. By increasing knowledge of available programs and support services, the helpline empowers individuals to take proactive steps toward stabilizing their lives.
The CSBG Scholarship Application will be available starting April 2026
Created to empower exceptional students in achieving their academic and career ambitions, this initiative embodies our commitment to fostering excellence, leadership, and community engagement.
Open to all eligible students residing in Suburban Cook County, this scholarship program embodies CEDA’s dedication to nurturing diverse talent and fostering inclusive environments within our industries.

The Youth Enrichment Access Program (EC) helps families in Suburban Cook County pay for summer camps, after-school programs, arts, sports, and more—because every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and thrive. Get up to $600 per child, with a maximum of $1,800 per household to support enrichment activities that make a difference.
Whether it’s coding camp, music lessons, dance classes, or soccer practice—financial assistance is available now for qualifying families.

The Summer Youth Employment Program application will be available starting March 2026. The SYEP Program in Suburban Cook County provides paid job opportunities, skill development, and mentorship to help young people gain real-world experience and build confidence for future success.
The CEDA Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is more than just a summer job—it’s your chance to get paid, build skills, and make connections that will help you long after summer ends. You’ll work in a job that matches your interests, learn from experienced mentors, and gain real-world experience that looks great on college applications and resumes. Plus, you’ll earn money while doing it! Earn $16.00 an hour!
